Toro Y Moi came through the Twin Cities on Friday to play for the crowd at the Turf Club. He showed his resiliance by improving some of his tunes after his laptop was stolen. Indie mainstays Death Cab for Cutie swung through the Twin Cities on Wednesday night. They played a set that featured a good mix of songs from their last three albums.

Solid Gold is Minneapolis’ most buzzed about band, which was proven on Friday when they absolutely packed the Turf Club in St. Paul wall to wall. The group played an energized set that had the whole crowd moving. Check out the band playing their single ‘Get Over It’ below, but I recommend going to the actual page and watching it in higher quality.

Last night Above the Fold hung out with Private Dancer. For status and integrity sake, we were lucky enough that Private Dancer is actually one of Minneapolis’ best up and coming punk/dance band. The St. Paul based group celebrated the release of their new album Trouble Eyes at the Turf Club in St. Paul on Saturday night. Twin Cities favorite Vampire Hands was on hand (no pun intended) as well to help Private Dancer celebrate. Check out the happenings:
