Well apparently Ke$ha pranked Owl City (video below), but now (MASHPOWER) has pranked us all by putting the two together in one track. Check it out below:
While the sometimes frantic programming of Eric Solmon’s synths detract from Michael Angelako’s vocals and piano work, his remix of Moths Wings is no doubt far more club friendly than the original. Solomon’s take also creates a wider dynamic range by creating contrast between the original builds and his well placed dramatic cuts in programming . Eric Solomon has also made his remix of Owl City’s fireflies available.
This past weekend Owl City performed a homecoming show to a sold out crowd at the Cabooze. With Owl City’s Ocean Eyes charting number 27 on Billboard’s top 200, as well as dancing around 1 and 2 on a couple iTunes chart, it’s no surprise that the Minneapolis show was far from the only sold out date on tour.
