Felix Da Housecat Set to Release New Album

On August 25 (2009), felix will be releasing his “…electronic pop record” He Was King.  The genre crossing full length will be a bit of a departure from the all-out electro blast that was Kittenz & Thee Glitz.  Check out a new track from He Was King:

When we were putting together the ATF 1yr celebration, we knew it wouldn’t be a dance night without MPLS up-and-comer, DJ So Gold. Thankfully he was kind enough to apply his remixing skills to Minneapolis’ newest buzz band Solid Gold. Check out the So Gold remix of the single “Get Over It”.

One For the Team Release “Build a Garden”

garden_cover

One For the Team dropped their newest release, Build a Garden, today and they were nice enough to share a track with us.  Released on the major online channels, the group also pressed a limited run of the EP… so buy it.

JUNE – Stabbed

So apparently this South Bronx MC was exactly what I needed to pull me out of blogging hibernation…  Why?  Because he raps:  Raw, rough, straight off the east coast…  I’m loving the party banging rap scene that’s getting love right now, but there’s something about JUNE’s Stabbed that throws it back a little (and the Glasvegas sample doesn’t hurt either).

Ninja Tune Drops New Shuttle Track Featuring Cadence Weapon

Shuttle, aka Etan, has used his production skills on plenty of remixes, but now that he has signed to Ninja Tune it seems it’s time to lay down some original tracks of his own.  Teaming up with Cadence Weapon, this east-coast producer is offering up Rotten Guts as the hors d’oeuvre to his upcoming EP Tunnel.

TMX Remixes Varga Zsuzsa

TMX’s remixes have been getting attention all over the web and his most recent re-work is certain to do the same.  Taking on We Belong Together by electro pop singer Varga Zsuzsa, TMX’s remix does what they do best in Hungary… Bang.

Photomachine Re-works Yo! Majesty

UK producer Photomachine has put his spin on Yo! Majesty with a remix of the track Don’t Let Go. Gaining plays by the likes of Basment Jaxx, this track is a speaker beater for sure. Yo Majesty is also out on a full tour with an upper midwest stop in Minneapolis (@ Triple Rock Social Club, Feb 2) courtesy of fellow Twin Cities blog Culture Bully.

Ninja Tune Remixes // The Qemists & Wiley

The folks over at Ninja Tune were kind enough to send over a killer remix pack of the track Dem Na Like Me by The Qemists & Wiley, and of course, we’re just nice enough to offer them up to you.  With remixes by A1 Bassline, Elektrons, King Cannibal, and Subscape, this pack is dark and dirty, and most certainly worth the download.  Look out for the Dem Na Like Me single dropping at the end of this month, and the full length Join the Q out early February.
