MPLS’ Gigamesh shows off his remixing skills on an original Classixx track:
I’m not sure if you heard, but the Gigamesh remix that was featured on Mike Posner’s new mixtape One Foot Out the Door was actually an unfinished version that he had sent to Posner as a taster way back at the end of the Summer. The good news is Posner has decided to use the MPLS-based producer’s version of the track when he performs live (you can hear it on the Carson Daly show), but unfortunately the track on Posner’s mixtape was merely a spattering of how Gigamesh had intended it.
But in good news for all, I received an e-mail from Gigamesh last night with his FINAL version of the track. This version shows off why they chose him to remix in the first place. The layers he adds to his projects are immense. Instead of being a song made up of a looping Crookers’-esque breakdown, we have a full range and progression with that same breakdown fitting in perfectly. Take a listen and pass along the REAL Gigamesh remix!
Part 2 of Worn to be Wild has been announced; The Anthem Heart run all-nighter will host a solid line up of DJs and another round of custom T-shirt printing. Check out the Anthem Heart blog and the flikr set from the last Worn to be Wild which featured custom Solid Gold shirts.
Mike Posner, the coolest kid in school, traveled to his home state of MI last weekend to perform at MSU with Big Sean and Fly Union. During his performance of his song Cooler Than Me you can hear he uses our friend Gigamesh’s unfinished remix of the track. Sounds very dope and caters to a lot more crowd involvement. Looking forward to hearing the full version. Nice work my friends!
Gigamesh is at it again. This summer has seen no shortage in output from Minneapolis’ hardest working producer/DJ. After a successful campaign in the RCRD LBL remix contest earlier in the summer, Gigamesh is following up with a new summer mix. One of the treats of the mix is a new track from his newest group collaboration Señor Stereo. Check it below:
Gigamesh of Discotech/RCRD Lbl Fame just sent over his new take on Soulja Boy’sTurn my Swag On. Not unlike the rest of Discotech’s remix efforts, this track is hot. Which leads me to my new catch phrase for the group….

Minneapolis dj/producer Gigamesh has been on the grind for a while now, remixing and producing under his own alias as well as with the well known electro trio DiscoTech. ATF has been lucky enough to receive his newest remix, and it’s a banger for sure. Check out Gigamesh’s take on the Jackson 5 song Dancine Machine, along with a Philip Glass rework and a killer new mix.
