This is a great rendition of the song Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked.  Glee has been a refreshing show for not only anyone who was/is involved in the Arts in High School, but the powerful show has attracted a widespread audience. 

The show’s success can likely be attributed to it’s genius marketing strategy. The songs they choose to cover read like a karaoke dream. Mix that with studio recorded releases of each episode’s songs on iTunes and you have successfully built a full mainstream audience.

In one of the most daring moves I’ve ever seen, Glee will be releasing a mid-season DVD titled The Road to Sectionals  just days before the Holidays. You can hate all you want, but you know you’re going to buy that DVD and then also buy the full season when that is released. And that my friends is called, making an extra buck.
