I’m not sure if you heard, but the Gigamesh remix that was featured on Mike Posner’s new mixtape One Foot Out the Door was actually an unfinished version that he had sent to Posner as a taster way back at the end of the Summer. The good news is Posner has decided to use the MPLS-based producer’s version of the track when he performs live (you can hear it on the Carson Daly show), but unfortunately the track on Posner’s mixtape was merely a spattering of how Gigamesh had intended it.

But in good news for all, I received an e-mail from Gigamesh last night with his FINAL version of the track. This version shows off why they chose him to remix in the first place. The layers he adds to his projects are immense. Instead of being a song made up of a looping Crookers’-esque breakdown, we have a full range and progression with that same breakdown fitting in perfectly.
