Portland, OR– Starfucker officially became Pyramiddd last night in front of a packed house at the Wonder Ballroom. They entered the stage to the Star Trek theme song (with costumes to match), and the crowd exploded into a dance frenzy. Pyramiddd brought it from start-to-finish with one smooth electro-pop number after the next. The music was good, but the atmosphere was most impacting: the costumes, the energy, the symbolism behind Halloween and the passing of Starfucker. It suited the band perfectly–their cheery songs ushering in a new chapter in their musical voyage. The closest comparison I can draw is that of being at a Flaming Lips’ performance.
