The Ripple Effect started out as a peaceful, oppression free day of propelling a new wave of action outside of the RNC on the lawn of Minnesota’s State Capitol in St. Paul. There was a full day of artists who preached ideals of peace, love, unity, and reform. Check out a photo album of the day:

Anti Flag played a role in the Rage Against the Machine mayhem that started right after their set. The band tried to help convince the police to let Rage play.

Reggae/rocker Michael Franti played a feel good set in the late afternoon. He was even able to part the clouds, as directly after he mentioned the gloomy day the sun peeked through.
