Portugal. The Man to Release New Album//Tour Like Mad

Is it just me or does it seem like the Northwest is gearing up for another run to steal the American music scene? One culprit of this push of great independent music from that area of the country is Portugal. The Man. They have been frantically pushing out music since ‘06. With two albums under their belt already the group is hustling to get their next album, Censored Colors, out via a partnership with Equal Vision Records on September 16. The partnership between their own label Approaching AIRballoons and Equal Vision will allow the band to stay more actively involved in musical decisions.

The group has been touring feverishly this summer and will not stop this fall. They will be playing the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis on November 9.

One highlight of the album is the album’s second track, Colors, which plays like a Lennon tribute. It will make you sit back and remember ‘way back when.’
